My recent obsession is a vintage scarf. Okay, to be honest, I have been wanting one for a while now, but it’s suddenly resurfaced in urgency. The summer is coming up, and I’m trying to figure out a way to keep my hair neat when the wind blows it around. Because of the curls, I can’t pull it back or put it up without ruining it.
Then I started thinking about all the old Hollywood stars who wore scarves and how glamorous it looked.
AND THEN. Well, one of my new coworkers has instantly become a style crush. I can’t describe how adorable she is. And on Friday, she came in with a scarf in her hair in an adorably mod way (kind of like this, this, and I’d even wear it like this) , and I was back on eBay looking at scarves.
Spurred on by the fact that she also had a KILLER vintage Chanel brooch the other day, and I immediately saw one on eBay, I’m now thinking it HAS to be Chanel. I found this vintage Sunday Morning scarf, and I like that, as opposed to this one, it uses the double c’s instead of screaming, “CHANEL!!” However, I don’t do navy, really, so it wouldn’t match with my wardrobe.
But this one is adorably mod and would work in the second way I showed, and why does it have to be so expensive?! I’m going away in two weeks, and my hair is inevitably going to be blown around while sightseeing, and I’d really love to have one NOW. But it’ll have to wait. Hopefully I can find a suitably cute, cheap, (possibly non-vintage) alternative in the meantime!
