Look at this handsome trio! Now, I’m sure you’re wondering why I would need the Ole Henriksen The Whole Truth Vitamin C Kit when I have all that other skincare, but there is a method to my madness.
I’ve never been one of those people who walked off of an airplane after a long flight with skin that felt like a zombie’s. My skin has always been oily, so, if anything, I’d walk off the plane with an oil slick on my face and a new whitehead on the side of my nose (you know the kind I’m talking about). But when skincare guru Caroline Hirons posts her long-flight skincare routine, you still take notice. And considering that the cold, cold weather and wind definitely did take a toll on my skin this winter, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try out some of her tips.
Two of the products listed were in this kit, the Truth Serum Collagen Booster and the Truth Crème Advanced Hydration. And when I asked one of the Sephora Sales Assistants for an eye creme recommendation—I don’t normally use rich creams under my eyes because oily, but I could actually feel the skin there hurting from the cold wind—she put the information in the Sephora computer (because they can’t know all the products in the store, right?) and one of the ones they recommended was the eye cream in the kit, the Total Truth Eye Crème. Three smaller sizes for less than the cost of all of them…and I need it for travel…it seemed like a no brainer.
I haven’t used the serum yet, though it’s going in my onboard kit for my flight on Sunday, but I have been using the eye cream every day since I bought it. The skin there definitely feels much better and my concealer isn’t looking so flaky anymore. And it has SPF to boot, so I feel good using it. It will probably be too heavy for the summer, but it’s a small size and it’s just the trick for right now.
I also used a little bit of the face cream at night for my wind-ravaged skin before I got my Innarah samples, and it did feel quite nice and hydrating. Overall, I definitely think these were good investments, even if I will only use them when flying.
What’s in your air-travel arsenal?
