*This entry has been prescheduled to post while I am out of the country, so if you comment and I don’t reply right away, that’s why.*

When you work in Long Island City and are looking for places to shoot an OOTD, your choices are pretty limited. The day these photos were taken, Danielle and I meandered over to what turned out to actually be Silvercup Studios. Luckily, no one kicked us out! Alas, I was not discovered, and am still working my day job. Le sigh.

What you can’t see is that the light above Stage B was lit, meaning they were taping behind there.

If you’ve been following my blog, you know I love all things vintage and vintage-inspired. I, however, LOATHE vintage shopping. When faced with packed rows and rows of clothing that needs to be gone through, I just can’t. I don’t have the patience. (It’s also why I can’t shop at H&M!)

There’s the lit light!

So I have become the queen of vintage eBay shopping. And it’s served me quite well over the years, if I do say so myself. This dress is one of the best I’ve ever found. My friend and I have a test when it comes to vintage clothing and how it sometimes looks ugly in a photo or on a rack: Is it ugly ugly or cool ugly? Well, I took a chance that this one was cool ugly, and I was right. I love it beyond reason.

Attempting a jump shot. Maybe next time.

AND since I couldn’t for the life of me find my single pair of navy tights (I told you I barely wear navy), I thought it was the perfect opportunity to pull out my Mes Chaussettes Rouges socks that I was sent. I wore them over nude fishnets and they kept me nice and warm. And stylish.
