You may or may not know who Matt Nathanson is, but you’re a lot more likely to now than you were when I first fell in love with him and his music. He comes to mind now, because one of my favorites of his albums is called Still Waiting for Spring. It’s JUST starting to warm up a bit here in NY, but this winter has left me so chilled to the bone, I still haven’t warmed up myself.
But Matt and his music and his humor always warm my heart, so naturally I would need to share a live recording of one of his songs, because his live shows are half concert/half stand-up. And this is an old, old favorite. I hope you love it, too.
I am clearly already suffering from vacation brain (sorry to the people at work!), so today’s question is all about going away.
How do you choose which beauty products to bring with you? Do you pare down? Or do you wind up with too much?
Personally, I always wind up with way too much. I mean, WAY too much. It’s usually because I’m overwhelmed and can’t make decisions as to, “You will only be able to wear these 10 things,” because I never know what I’ll be in the mood for, even when I try and plan around outfits.
This time, I have a new travel cosmetics case and, ideally, I’d like to only take what fits in there. Ideally. (Normally I wind up with 3 or 4 packed to the brim smaller cases. So, wish me luck!!)
I’m not feeling great and can’t muster up the energy for a post, so instead I’m sharing some nighttime photos I took walking to the train of the NY skyline. The only thing I miss about that commute.
It will surprise no one that I like to shop. Or that I like to travel. Or that I like to shop while I’m traveling. Since I’m heading off to France (I know, again) in a week and a half, I thought I would write up a guide with everything I’ve learned about shopping overseas.

My recent obsession is a vintage scarf. Okay, to be honest, I have been wanting one for a while now, but it’s suddenly resurfaced in urgency. The summer is coming up, and I’m trying to figure out a way to keep my hair neat when the wind blows it around. Because of the curls, I can’t pull it back or put it up without ruining it.
Then I started thinking about all the old Hollywood stars who wore scarves and how glamorous it looked.
I promised you a FOTD with Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge in Aubergine Velvet, and I’m giving it to you! You know, it’s all about building trust and all. 😉
