    • I've loved it every time I've been there. It has a grit and an edge that the other two don't, which is very New York. It also has a great cultural scene, especially music-wise, which is very important to me. Great places to go dancing, great places to go drinking. I don't know what more you could want! 🙂 xx

        • I've been to London several times, but mostly bypassed it in favor of more remote and odd locations (Sheffield?! Wales?!), partially because I have friends up north, but a large part because it does feel too much like New York. But that's probably why, so I'll keep that in mind, cheers!

  1. Hi Shani!
I randomly saw one comment of yours on an article of a French blogger I follow sometimes, and the name of your blog caught my eye. So I read the "à propos" section…
And if you allow me, here are a few corrections:

"Je m’appelle Shani, je suis une new-yorkaise qui rêve de maîtriser le français et de vivre à Paris (ou à Edimbourg ou à Glasgow), mais je suis fan du Real Madrid. I'm French but I've lived abroad for 8 years on and off now. I currently live in Hong Kong, and before I was in Sydney. If you need a hand with "ton français", hit me up, I'd be glad to help you out!

    • Hi Audrey! Thank you so much for finding me. 🙂 There is a reason the title only says I dream in French, ha. The funny thing is, a good friend of mine from Nice corrected my original translation, so it's interesting to see the differences in this version. I think I understand and I appreciate it!

Now that I'm working again, I hope to resume taking French lessons so maybe we can converse in French in the future. 🙂 I appreciate the offer of help and may very well take you up on it!

And I looked at your blog—you should write something!

I hope you keep reading and correcting me! 😉

      Shani x

  3. Hahaha but I find it's a lovely title for a blog.
Are you telling me the girl who corrected the section is actually French?????? No way… :/
Oh and I don't have a blog… I just took the 1st step and then stopped. I'm scared it might take way too much time to deliver quality content/photos.
And as I'm a perfectionist… I'd rather wait for the right time to start blogging!
    xx

    • I like it, too. It works on many levels. 🙂

Yes, but she's a good friend, so it's possible she was just trying to spare my feelings, ha. I'm glad to learn, so I appreciate it all.

I completely understand. I was unemployed when I started mine and am worried about its upkeep. Also, I can take photos of things but still have not found a good photographer for photos of me. It's a hard business! xx

  4. Bonjour Sharon, tu as vraiment très joli blog!
Hi, I'm Sarah from France and your blog is beautiful! 😉 Nice to meet you!
I also have a beauty and fashion blog but in french not english, so if you want to learn a few words in french don't hesitate 😉 (useful words like lipstick, fashion, jewels… of course!)
    Bye!
