Review: Haus of Gloi Spring Collection

Acheté

Another pre-trip purchase that I made was, yes, once again, some products from the Haus of Gloi spring collection. I keep telling myself that I have enough hand creams, but then the list of seasonal scents comes out, and I lose all willpower! I didn’t have time to write this up before, so hopefully some of these are still left, since I know that they do sell out. (I actually had to order all this in 2 goes, because initially something I wanted was out of stock.)

Review: MAC Full of Joy blush

Affilier Acheté

*This entry has been prescheduled to post while I am out of the country, so if you comment and I don’t reply right away, that’s why.*

MAC Full of Joy blush Sometimes I feel like MAC puts out a new collection a week. I went through a period where I actually bought things from each one, but I’m now good with sitting most of them out. But when I got an email about their spring blushes, I did go straight out and pick up MAC Full of Joy blush.

Rouge Bunny Rouge is one of those under-the-radar brands that, when first reading the name on other blogs, I’d go, “What’s that brand called?! What IS that?!” But from everything I saw, I knew I needed to have some of it in my life. And I was right.

Review: The Balm How ‘Bout Them Apples Palette

Affilier Gratuit

The Balm How 'Bout Them Apples Palette Birchbox’s program for bloggers, Birchbloggers (however did they come up with that name?! 😉 ), continues to impress me more than my monthly boxes did. I was lucky enough to win my third item for review, one that looked cute and adorable and I just wanted to have it, The Balm’s How ‘Bout Them Apples palette for cheeks and lips.

Review: Innarah Skin Care

Gratuit
Innarah Skin Care Update 4/9/14: Innarah amazingly sent me full-sized versions of the other items, so I updated the photos. They also sent a product I hadn’t tried before, so I’ll review that separately.

When last we talked about my skin, it was in excellent condition. I must have jinxed it, because shortly after writing that, I started to notice weird, bumpy pimples springing out on my upper cheeks. And a field of zits broke out on my chin and refused to go away (and they weren’t even hormonally induced!). So when someone from Innarah skin care reached out to me about trying some of their products, I knew that I had nothing to lose! (Even though I just keep thinking of Inara!!)

I know that it was just a fluke of proximity, but I received the products the day after they were mailed out. That’s unheard of. And inclined me to feel favorably towards them. BUT, would they live up to these favorable feels?

Review: Benefit Lollitint

Affilier Acheté

Benefit Lollitint It is far from being spring here, but the minute I saw Benefit Lollitint, I knew it had to be mine. I’m not one to fall for the Pantone color of the year stuff, but I just knew that the very cool, purple-y pink would work really well with my complexion.

February 2014 Favorites Where has the month gone?! I know that February is the short month, but I still can’t believe it’s time for my February 2014 Favorites. (Even though, because of the weather, it’s also felt endless!)

Review: OmniPotent Duosity Hair Treatment

Gratuit

One good thing about Birchbox is definitely their Birchbloggers program. I was lucky enough to win a full-sized OmniPotent Duosity Hair Treatment ($25), the second time I’ve been selected by them.

I may have played off of the, “I was unemployed for 5 months and my hair wasn’t cut for 6 months and I could use the hair treatment despite it finally being cut” angle, but hey, it worked! (No it didn’t. They must do these at random.)

And it’s true. Despite finally cutting my hair at the end of December, the very next day I was still seeing split ends. And I’m talking the kind of split ends that are so bad, you don’t realize the two strands you’re seeing are actually from one hair, because they go up so high. Most of these are on the ends of my hair that still have highlights in them, and I know the bleach damages hair, but I haven’t had it redone in over a year.

Anyway, I digress.

Review: Skin&Co Roma Truffle Therapy Skin and Body Care

Gratuit

I was thrilled when Skin&Co Roma approached me about reviewing some samples of their truffle therapy products, but also completely apprehensive about changing up a skincare regimen that had just recently repaired my skin and seemed pretty nailed down. But when an Italian skincare company making products with truffle oil offers you samples, you don’t say no!

Review: La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo

Affilier Acheté

Whenever anyone talks about over-the-counter options to treat adult acne, La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo invariably comes up. Back when I was still treating my product-induced breakout, but after I had discovered Clarins Lotus Treatment Oil and calmed the worst of my breakout, I was looking for something else to use to treat the stubborn zits and bumps that loved me so much, they didn’t want to get lost.
