Sick of autumn makeup looks? No? GOOD. Cause I’ve got an autumnal fotd for you, too. I actually stepped a little out of my comfort zone with this one, so hopefully it’ll meet your approval.

Yes, you’re not seeing wrong. This is an actual blog post.* From moi. Because, you guys, I FINALLY HAVE A TOM FORD LIPSTICK OF MY VERY OWN!!! That’s definitely worth blogging about. So, behold: Tom Ford Matte Lipstick in Ruby Rush.
*blows off the dust*
Well, hello, there! I know that it’s been an age. I’ll spare you the uninteresting details of how my day job has sucked up my life, but I just couldn’t let my 1 year blogiversary pass without a post.*
And a post about my first New York Fashion Week event ever! Yes, I said ever. Despite being a lifelong New Yorker. Hey, better late than never, right? And what a way to start it off, with the Maison Kitsuné Spring/Summer 15 collection, in all its adorable Frenchness. How fitting, n’est-ce pas?!
My whirlwind shopping trip to Paris (calling a spade a spade) a few months ago, saw me going just a little crazy at the By Terry counter. The truth is, I had so little time (I literally went straight from the store to my hotel to the airport), I had to just read things off my list, and I hadn’t had a chance to play with any of the summer collection. Once home, I saw swatches of the By Terry Tint to Lip Pink Palace and cursed my luck, because I knew it was going to have to be mine, and I could have gotten it for less in Paris.
Hey guys, hope you had a good weekend. I’ve been super distracted by the huge global sports event currently occurring (no, not tennis), so I’m falling back on things I have ready to go. Sorry to repeat back to back Cynthia Rowley Beauty Spring Line posts, but what are you gonna do? Football calls!
And…I’m back with my thoughts about the Cynthia Rowley Beauty Spring Collection I was so lucky to have won from Birchbox* and Birchbloggers. I’m throwing in a look with the products, to boot! (I have another FOTD to come.)
(*In case you’re not familiar with it, Birchbox is a monthly subscription service where, for just $10 a month, you receive a box full of deluxe-sized and travel-sized samples. You receive Birchbox points for every purchase you make and every review you write, which can be redeemed in their store. For every 100 points you earn, you get $10 towards a full-sized product order. Get your own here.)
A couple of weeks ago, Birchbox, the monthly beauty box with the amazing points program,* hosted an event for their Birchbloggers at the Cynthia Rowley boutique. On display and for play was the Cynthia Rowley Spring Beauty Line. And I was one of the lucky few who won the entire collection to review.

Luckily for my wallet, this week’s Wishlist Wednesday item is theoretical only. I’m not a huge J.Crew person. I love their basic tees, and I do like some clothing, but it’s so overpriced. And so I never heard about, and subsequently missed, their collaboration with British shoe designer Sophia Webster. And I missed buying these Sophia Webster for J.Crew Anneka kitten heel pumps.
Another pre-trip purchase that I made was, yes, once again, some products from the Haus of Gloi spring collection. I keep telling myself that I have enough hand creams, but then the list of seasonal scents comes out, and I lose all willpower! I didn’t have time to write this up before, so hopefully some of these are still left, since I know that they do sell out. (I actually had to order all this in 2 goes, because initially something I wanted was out of stock.)
Believe it or not, even people who blog about beauty and fashion don’t always feel so creative when it comes to makeup or clothing combinations. Some days I’m just not feeling any of it. So it was a blessing the day that the Popbasic Ashbury Collection walked into my life.
