By now, I’ve raved so much about Surratt Artistique Eyeshadows, I could practically be their spokesman. But as a sister post to the Autumn and Winter Lipstick Picks, I wanted to show you a perfect neutral eye that you can pair with any bright, dark, cold-weather lipstick.
I know this is the time of year that people usually post about gifts to get other people. But if you haven’t been able to tell, my family doesn’t celebrate Christmas. And we don’t do presents. Which leaves me free to keep cultivating my own wishlist. 😉
High up on that list is this gorgeous Elina Gleizer Torn Silver Ring.
Okay, so it looks kind of like a ring I already have. But it also kind of doesn’t. It’s exquisite. And unusual. And classy. And rough around the edges. Everything I aspire to be, come to think of it.
(It also comes in a version with black diamonds that I like even better…but I don’t like the price better. Still. Thought I would point that out for all of you.)
If I close my eyes and squint, I can see it on my finger! (Or is that my ring that looks kind of like it??)
What are you guys wishing for this holiday season?

*blows off the dust*
Well, hello, there! I know that it’s been an age. I’ll spare you the uninteresting details of how my day job has sucked up my life, but I just couldn’t let my 1 year blogiversary pass without a post.*
And a post about my first New York Fashion Week event ever! Yes, I said ever. Despite being a lifelong New Yorker. Hey, better late than never, right? And what a way to start it off, with the Maison Kitsuné Spring/Summer 15 collection, in all its adorable Frenchness. How fitting, n’est-ce pas?!
I do have some new-ish purchases I’m getting ready to feature here, but the weather is not cooperating for photography. So I thought I may as well share my latest beauty lusts. We’ll see if they feature on here in the future, eh? 🙂
Yves Saint Laurent Couture Palette in Couleurs 10
This may look like an odd choice, but do you see that muddy color up in the upper left hand corner? It’s muddy because it’s blue with golden shimmer and it’s BEE-YOO-TEE-FUL. You can see it better here and swatches here. I think my desire for the blue may stem from this photo of Valentine, though I’d be better off with a matte blue to recreate that look, and I’d probably pay less for it. At $60, I feel like YSL may have outpriced themselves with these new palettes. (Too bad, because it’s so prettttttty!!) (more…)

I guess one of the benefits of having a beauty blog that some of your friends read, is that they always know what to get you when things like birthdays come up. Mine was a few weeks ago, and my dear friend Dagmar knew exactly what to get me: Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Hot Pepper, all the way from the EU!
(Sorry for being late with this post. My World Cup distraction has reached epic proportions. But, seriously, am I the only beauty blogger out there who watches football?! I mean, really, it’s SO good!)
Hey guys, hope you had a good weekend. I’ve been super distracted by the huge global sports event currently occurring (no, not tennis), so I’m falling back on things I have ready to go. Sorry to repeat back to back Cynthia Rowley Beauty Spring Line posts, but what are you gonna do? Football calls!
And…I’m back with my thoughts about the Cynthia Rowley Beauty Spring Collection I was so lucky to have won from Birchbox* and Birchbloggers. I’m throwing in a look with the products, to boot! (I have another FOTD to come.)
(*In case you’re not familiar with it, Birchbox is a monthly subscription service where, for just $10 a month, you receive a box full of deluxe-sized and travel-sized samples. You receive Birchbox points for every purchase you make and every review you write, which can be redeemed in their store. For every 100 points you earn, you get $10 towards a full-sized product order. Get your own here.)
Yes, more shoes. I guess there’s something in the air?
I still have not gotten the regular yellow Jett shoes, nor the Joie heels. I’ll probably never get the Chloé Susanna boots, but I’m working towards the Valentino Rockstuds (!!). However, in the meantime, I totally have an inappropriate crush on Modern Vice’s Polka Dot Jett booties.
After I posted my first look with the NARSissist eyeshadow palette, my friend Andrea requested a look with the silvery/purple shades. Well, ask and ye shall receive!
I had a few things on a Bobbi Brown wishlist for a while, so when I saw they were having a sale a couple of weeks ago, I couldn’t help but cross some of them off my list!
