By now, I’ve raved so much about Surratt Artistique Eyeshadows, I could practically be their spokesman. But as a sister post to the Autumn and Winter Lipstick Picks, I wanted to show you a perfect neutral eye that you can pair with any bright, dark, cold-weather lipstick.

Yes, more shoes. I guess there’s something in the air?
I still have not gotten the regular yellow Jett shoes, nor the Joie heels. I’ll probably never get the Chloé Susanna boots, but I’m working towards the Valentino Rockstuds (!!). However, in the meantime, I totally have an inappropriate crush on Modern Vice’s Polka Dot Jett booties.
Luckily for my wallet, this week’s Wishlist Wednesday item is theoretical only. I’m not a huge J.Crew person. I love their basic tees, and I do like some clothing, but it’s so overpriced. And so I never heard about, and subsequently missed, their collaboration with British shoe designer Sophia Webster. And I missed buying these Sophia Webster for J.Crew Anneka kitten heel pumps.
I can’t post this OOTD without getting teary. This was back when I had my lovely photographer/friend/colleague Danielle to take photos for me. And this was back when my hair was actually long. The one thing I don’t miss is the surroundings. They may make for good fashion photos, but try working somewhere where this is all that’s around you!
It was certainly too cold to leave the office without a coat, though it was just slightly warmer—enough for me not to have to bundle into my big, black puffer coat and break out my beautiful purple coat.

Whenever anyone talks about over-the-counter options to treat adult acne, La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo invariably comes up. Back when I was still treating my product-induced breakout, but after I had discovered Clarins Lotus Treatment Oil and calmed the worst of my breakout, I was looking for something else to use to treat the stubborn zits and bumps that loved me so much, they didn’t want to get lost.

I was so super excited when Cult Beauty had the Topshop The Damned Collection in its winter sale. I’d been dying to get my hand on Velvet Lips in Velveteen Ribbon ever since I saw it on I Covet Thee, but I had no money to buy it at the time, and then it sold out in the US. I literally bought the collection set for just the lipstick, but it was worth it, because it’s a complete face in a bag!
Funny story: Apparently nail polish is now considered a hazardous material, and so you can no longer ship it from the UK. In fact, because of this, it wasn’t letting me make my purchase. The amazing people at Cult Beauty responded to me right away and explained the situation, and said that they would remove the nail polish from the kit and send the rest to me. Awesome.
On to the look!
I first ran across the gorgeous bronze-y, antique gold shade in the Illamasqua Neutral Palette in this post, and I pretty much decided then and there that it needed to be in my life. Then I got lured in by the Chanel Charming Palette (damn you, Lisa Eldridge [just kidding, I love you, call me]), and it drove all thoughts of the Illamasqua palette out of my head. Well, after returning the Chanel palette, I wandered over to the Illamasqua counter and righted this terrible wrong. And now this goodness is in my life.
